Oven Baked Hooters Style Buffalo Wings

Oh. My. God. Everyone needs to drop what they're doing and go out to buy chicken wings and Frank's RedHot Sauce. Go ahead. I'll wait...ready?

These are the best wings I've ever had. Seriously. And bonus! they're baked in the oven, not fried. Nice, right? Heck, yeah.

One of my best friends, Denise, passed this one along to me. And I'm forever thankful to her for doing so! You can see the recipe posted here. You really need to make these. They're crispy, not at all soggy, and falling off the bone tender. Seriously delicious. My husband said we could have people lined up around the block to get these if they knew how good they were, hehe. If you make them, your family and friends will inhale them!

A couple of things: make sure you refrigerate them for at least 35 minutes to kind of "set" the flour coating. I've done 40 minutes, and 35, and both were the same. And I take them out of the pan right after cooking and put them on a rack so they don't get soggy. Enjoy!

  2. Kevin, they're amazingly good. And not too spicy, so if you like them hotter, you can use less butter and more Franks. Or add more cayenne. I want more now, hehe. Thanks for your comment!

  5. Zen, I hope you've cleaned off your computer screen, lol. Thanks for the comments! I wish we could share the actual food through the net, I'd make enough for everyone!

Thanks cg--and you'd need to add some melt-your-face-off hot sauce, because these are low on the heat scale, lmbo.

  6. Wow! I'll have to try this. It's a better alternative to frying, which we're so used to! I never heard of Frank's Sauce until we made the 'rip-off' Buffalo Wild Wings sauce (http://gourmeted.com/2007/12/12/homestyle-buffalo-wild-wings/)
and omg, I don't like spicy food that much but this wooed me over. :)

  7. Joy, I'll bet you'd really love these. They're not very spicy at all, but SO tasty. I daydream about them when I don't have them. How crazy is that?!

  8. So I finally got around to making these today. WOW, you are right these are so good!!!
My son ate way too many and added much more hot sauce, an hour later his mouth is still burning. Dh thought that they were quite flavorful, not too much spice, but just enough. Although again he added more sauce to his. The girls even ate them! I love the way they came out. Thanks for pimping out the recipe!
